YAMAHA T7 ADVENTURE COMFORT SEAT (2019+)
We love adventure riding at Kelpi and have done our fair share of it, so it was only a matter of time before we developed what we believe is the best Tenere 700 comfort seat. One of the biggest gripes we hear from riders is how uncomfortable their stock seat is, especially over long distances. Comparatively, the Yamaha Rally seat is as tall as it is rock hard and is only really suitable for the hard enduro T7 crowd. The Kelpi T7 Adventure Seat is a complete redesign of the stock seat optimised across a wider range of styles of riding - we like to think of it as the Yamaha Tenere 700 touring seat that they never made. We asked a bunch of our mates to test various versions of this seat to ensure we were making a seat worthy of long, hard days on the bike and we’re pretty proud of the outcome. The end result is incredibly plush straight off the bat with the seat profile allowing for easier flat footing than the stock seat upfront and a much wider rear profile.
While we’re not willing to give away all of our trade secrets we’ll give you a bit of an idea of how we do what we do. Your new Tenere 700 comfort seat will have most of the original stock foam cut away from the riders seat. Up the front the side profile has been trimmed down resulting in a shorter seat height when standing still, and allowing for more weight on the front end during cornering. The middle and rear of the riders seat has been built from the pan upwards and outwards utilising three different densities of foam which supports the rider across a greater surface area and dramatically improves comfort.
We’re keeping it simple with this seat and offering it in the one style, but like most things we do, custom variants can be arranged:
