BLINDSIDER 3-1 BULLET INDICATORS
There are so many factors that go into making a truly remarkable 3-1 indicator, and it’s taken us some time to create what we believe are the best 3-1 indicators on the market. Most of this comes down to production details below that set these above what’s currently available across user fitment, durability, certification & hardware.
User Fitment:
Our 3-1 Blindsiders come ready to plug in with four separate connectors (Earth, Indicator, Tail Light, Brake Light), with separate LED chips for the brake (bright red) and running light (red). It’s sadly all to common across the market for brands to supply 2-1 indicators and market them as “3-1” by offering optional external wiring with resistors and diodes you can buy and wire up to allow the indicators to have both running lights (red) and brake lights (bright red). Our indicators comparatively will have a brighter brake and running light than those styles, with less than half of the wiring required, no additional costs and no bulky and hot resistors and diodes exposed on the indicator wiring.
When bolting these up, our stainless washers and nuts have an open slot that allows them to be removed from the wiring without pushing each bullet connector indvidually through the fasteners, fixing a small headache that many custom builders know all too well. Our indicator wiring comes with crimped bullet connections, ready to plug into the widest range of motorcycles on the market whilst also working for 2-1 bullet connectors that can bring together the two indicators into single earth, brake light and running light connections to plug into your stock loom. which will reduce total wiring required even further. into buy and mess around with, and no extra wiring required trying to crimp onto micro gauge wiring. Make sure to check if a brand is selling you 3-1 Indicators with only 3 wires, and then charging you extra for bulky external wiring to turn it into a 3-1 indicator. If they have, then they haven’t managed to produce a 3-1 indicator yet. 4 wires, bullet connections, slotted fasteners, no external splitters and diodes.
Durability:
Our indicators are designed to last the distance, and that comes with a range of updates that are a cut above even many of the current market leaders. Our silicone filled stem ensures no tension on the internal electrical connections, whilst our thicker pvc tubing (rather than shrink wrap) provides much stronger protection for the wiring. Our 16 gauge (1.5mm) wiring is easier to crimp, less likely to burn out and incomparably more durable than the 20 gauge (0.5mm) electrical wiring supplied on many of the market leaders. Our 3-1 Blindsiders are waterproof, which is pretty standard, but also come with a black rubber grommet cap that covers the nut on the backside of the indicator, cleaning up the aesthetics from every angle whilst also protecting the nut and wiringfrom the elements further.
Certification: E-mark Certified and stamped on the lens as per ADR requirements; this is often overlooked and can result in unnecessary risk of issues with police when e marks are labelled or not supplied at all.
Hardware: Our updated lighting control units have a hierachy of control that works to reduce confusion for traffic around you. This fixes one of the biggest pet hates people have with 3-1 indicators, where indicating and braking at the same time can create a confusing mess of a red and amber strobe show. There’s research in the States on this exact topic with Harley’s 3-1 indicators, and there was an increase in reaction speeds for traffic behind the bike in those circumstances.
With our 3-1 Blindsiders, both indicators work as running and brake lights during normal operation, until the rider begins their turn signal. Whilst the amber indicator is in use, brake and running light duties are handled by the opposite side indicator, allowing the amber indicator in use to be fully legible and not a mix of indicator, running light and brake light at the same time. Whether running the 3-1 Blindsiders with a separate standalone brake/running light or on their own, this improves the awareness of traffic around you.

LED flasher relay is a two pin unit compatible with 16-21 XSR900, 16-21 XSR700, 14 - 20 MT09, 14 - 21 MT07, 16 -20 Tracer 700. You only need one of these for the bike so if you are buying two sets of indicators only buy one with the relay and the second as indicator only or with adapter.
