YAMAHA XSR900 CUSTOM SEAT TRIM (2016-2021)
Specific to the Yamaha XSR900, Kelpi offers a small range of seat covers that are Australian made and designed, increasing comfort, durability, and offering huge visual custom bang for buck in the process. These covers, offered in small-batch runs of specific colours and inserts, are all handmade in Brisbane using top quality automotive fabrics and threads. These covers include a 12mm comfort insert that’s stitched into the cover itself, with updated insert lines that extends the rider’s seat back, a common complaint for taller riders.
Styles:
Simpson - Bright and vibrant tan vinyl with cream twin stitched diamond insert, this trim is ideal for any of the bare metal editions, as well as the silver and red 2020 models and the new XSR900SP black and gold model.
Nullarbor - Distressed, mottled, matte finish brown vinyl, ideal for adding a more rugged custom look, particularly on the older heritage blue models and the newer purplish blue metallic models.
Glorious - Full black suede with charcoal twin stitched diamond insert. This is a durable synthetic suede option that doesnt lose texture, colour, shape or strength when exposed to rain, hail or shine. Given it’s paired back colours and highly dynamic texture and hand-feel, it works as a sophisticated accompaniment to pretty well every single XSR900 model that’s been made so far.
The Oxley - Black two-tone suede and vinyl with charcoal twin stitched diamond insert, this one’s a classic. Pairing well with every single paint scheme that Yamaha have released for the XSR range, it pulls colour out of the equation and let’s the lines and textures do the talking.
- Sold as a single piece that replaces the stock seat cover.
- Installation takes approximately 15 minutes and can be sorted locally by an upholsterer, or easily done yourself with an air-powered 6mm staple gun following the video guide below.

- Shipped thoughtfully internationally and around Australia to prevent creasing or damage during shipping
Further seat modifications and reshaping can be done to the stock seat pan in-house, with the cover working well across the usual range of modifications (inverting seat pan hump, adding front lip foam, shaving back main seat, extending the riders seat rear lip etc).
Seat modifications can be arranged by request, and this is achieved via the seat being posted to us in Brisbane. Because all of our seats are made in Brisbane, we have the opportunity to fulfil custom briefs relatively quickly. If you’ve seen another one of our seats or would like to discuss other options for your XSR please get in touch. Contact us directly via socials or email for a custom option or seat pan and foam modifications request.
