CROSSER CARBON FATBAR
The Kelpi Crossers are a top tier option for premium motorcycle builds where speed, class, weight and control are all priorities. Weighing in at only 220g, these laid carbon fibre Superbike bars boast some of the highest strength to weight across the market, allowing you to turn into corners more effortlessly than any steel or alloy handlebars can achieve, with reduced arm pump and increased control. When paired with our Hindsight mirrors, the weight savings against stock handlebars bars, mirrors and bar end weights on an XSR700 is more than 2kg. Whilst the weight savings isn’t unsprung weight, the reduced mass on the steering head bearing allows for much lighter turning, and the flickability of the bike is improved with better control requiring less force.
From a stance perspective, the Crossers are a slightly more aggressive and less swept back version of the Siccem superbike handlebars, keeping the rider in a comfortable upright riding position whilst maintaining a cleaner, lower visual profile to the bike.
These bars utilise variable wall thicknesses through a carbon composite closed mould manufacturing process to ensure strength on key stress points around the bends of the bar. In terms of dimensions, the Crossers come in tapered fat bar dimensions that have become the standard across the naked, touring, dirt and ADV segments, with a 28mm diameter centre that tapers into standard 7/8” ends to work with all standard controls and grips.
We’ve tested these bars on everything from dirt bikes to Vmax 1700’s, and stacked bikes on road & off road to the point where traditional bars would have either bent or snapped. The strength and flexibility of these Carbon bars have kept them in perfect shape even after off road stacks where both triple trees and handlebar risers require realignment. Please note that, at 720mm wide, these are a slimline fatbar that may not be suitable for certain new bike models with oversized switchblock controls like the 2022 XSR900 and Husqvarna 401. For bikes like these, we can machine up alloy extensions that will work with our Hindsight mirrors with extended mounting hardware, and we recommend reaching out to us via email for this as there is a machining surcharge.
As the handlebar shape is only slightly slimmer in profile to many stock super naked handlebars (Ducati Monsters, Yamaha MT range, Triumph Triples etc), these bars rarely require changes in throttle, clutch and brake cables when being fitted.
