The stock CB400 exhaust might look okay from a distance, but once you hear it, there’s no mistaking it: tinny, restricted, and far too quiet for a bike that revs to the moon. Swapping the stock system for one of our high-performance slip-ons transforms both the tone and the styling of the bike. With a deeper, throatier note and up to 3hp gain in peak performance, this system helps bring the inline four to life while trimming up to 3.5kg off the rear end.

A modern stainless and carbon-fibre slip-on with removable baffle, giving you the option to tone things down or run it raw. Finished with our mesh grille and carbon end-cap.
The Mutt
Our favourite for the CB400 platform, the Mutt has no baffle, an aggressive tone, and a raw, vintage-racer edge. Constructed with a full carbon fibre shell and 304 stainless internals, it’s featherlight at just 700g, and absolutely howls once VTEC kicks in.
Materials & Construction
Both systems are built using 304 stainless steel collector pipes, premium welds, and include a spring-mounted connection, clamp, and high tensile 316 stainless mounting hardware. These are built to last, with proper weight savings and durability where it counts.

Installation instructions:
Remove your existing muffler via the muffler clamp and rear mounting bracket bolt.
Slip the link pipe onto the existing header outlet and gently tighten the clamp, ensuring there is still play as adjustment will be required to set the desired position once the muffler is added.
Bolt the included S bend bracket onto the inside of the stock muffler mounting bracket (as can be seen in the product images). The S bend bracket should be snug but not torqued, allowing the bracket to rotate still.
Slip the muffler onto the link pipe and place the muffler in the desired position
Rotate the S bend bracket so that a bolt can fit from the muffler through the S bend bracket
Once the rear mount is torqued, tighten the clamp and add springs from the muffler to merge collector

After a minute’s running the protective layer of oil will have burnt off, and after your first ride the exhaust will take on a golden colouring.
