MT07 / XSR700 / R7 FULL STAINLESS EXHAUST SYSTEM
Generally one of the first and most important modifications done on the MT07 / XSR700 / R7 platforms is the exhaust, which is known to come off the factory line restrictive, heavy, cumbersome and sounding remarkably similar to an industrial sewing machine. When replaced with our full stainless exhaust system, the sound of the engine’s 270 degree firing rate comes into distinct focus, increasing exhaust flow and significantly improving the bike’s power to weight ratio. Outside of the performance gains, the range of muffler options and cerakoting finishes allow you to select your favourite styling and soundtrack to compliment your bike model & colour scheme. Aside from being lighter, louder and faster than the ubiquitous Akro that’s slapped on every man & his dog’s CP2, these aesthetic and tonal options help to get a distinctive look and sound to your bike, setting it apart from the pack. These systems are offered in a brushed stainless finish, with black or bronze cerakoting options on selected models. An optional dB killer is also included in every system that riders can use if desired.
Decibel readings as follows:
No baffle ~98db / Standard baffle ~95db / Quietcore baffle ~91db
Check out our XSR700 sound comparison and our install video
Full Shorty System: 3.07kg
Full Alpha System: 3.15kg
Full Flanker System: 2.93kg
*Factory Exhaust System: 7.7kg
Our XSR700 Full Exhaust runs fantastic on the stock tune when used with our Standard baffle. We only recommend tuning for this system if you are using them with no baffle in conjunction with aftermarket high-flow airboxes and filters.
Fitment for all models below:
2014-2024 Yamaha MT07
2016-2024 Yamaha XSR700
2021-2024 Yamaha R7
2016-2024 Yamaha Tracer 700
It’s important to note that, whilst these systems are compatible with Euro5 models, the Yamaha T7 features a different frame design which is incompatible with our CP2 exhausts.
- Includes headers, merge collector, muffler, fasteners, springs, brackets and baffle insert.
- The Quietcore baffle is an optional baffle to for our systems which replaces our standard dB killer, offering significant volume reduction to the exhaust at the expense of some top end power. When selecting the Quietcore baffle, you will still receive our standard baffle and be able to swap between for 3 distinct volumes & tones.
- Full exhaust system install with removal of the stock system can be done in under an hour with basic hand tools (HEX set, sockets & wrenches etc)
If you have any questions about whether this is the right system for you or would like to discuss custom options please call or email us.

Installation instructions:
- disconnect the O2 sensor at the cable connection, this requires the frame side cover to be taken off and the connection is obvious by following up from the O2 sensor bung on the stock exhaust
- unbolt the two rear stock muffler mounting bolts that sit beneath your foot pegs on both sides with a 12mm socket with extender arm bar and joint
- Use that same tool to unbolt the header flanges mounting exhaust system to motor
- slip the kelpi headers onto the 2-1 merge collector and attach the springs to clamp them together
- place the headers onto the motor outlets (ensure the exhaust gaskets don’t fall out) and screw the flange nuts back on a couple of turns (but not torqued) so that the headers won’t fall off over the fitment
- bolt the included S bend bracket onto the right side rear stock muffler mounting point (snug but not torqued to allow the bracket to rotate still), noting that this will bend into place once tightened on the muffler side
- slip the muffler onto the merge collector and place the muffler in the desired position (some prefer directly under the footpeg, others like it to sit in as close to the swingarm as possible)
- rotate the s bend bracket so that a bolt can fit from the muffler through the S bend bracket (though the angle may not be instantly aligned) and tighten the bolt as S bend bracket shifts into alignment
- once the rear mount is torqued, add springs from the muffler to merge collector
- torque the engine header flange nuts at the top of the exhaust system
- screw the O2 sensor into the new exhaust system and reconnect the plug on the other end of the O2 sensor
